Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers out of envy. Out of that bad situation, he was appointed governor over Egypt. His position of governor allowed him to save his family from famine. Paul was accused of preaching Jesus as Savior and hope of Israel. He was arrested out of hatred and sent to Rome to face trial. In Rome, he was granted the opportunity to teach and preach the gospel. Out of that bad experience, he was able to preach the gospel to many including the king's family. God works with us to turn our trials, hardships and disappointments into triumphs to accomplish his will.
19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. 21 So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them Genesis 50:19-21 12 Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. 14 Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly Philippians 1:12-14

I thank God for each change he leads me through, the trials and triumphs. His presence is unfailing through the good and difficult times. I commit myself to remain true and faithful to him.
Psalm 73:28 But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. Lord, be my daily guide upon the journey of life. When the way before me looks rough, impossible and difficult, teach me to depend on you to take charge. Lord, help me to keep faith in you. You have never failed anyone, and I know you will not fail me on this journey. Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” God is our hope and guide during times of trouble. When we face hardships and uncertain times, we should not fear. He has promised to be with us in our valley.
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. |
