There are days when the journey seems harder and longer. These are the days when God will give us wings to fly to new heights in our lives
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.
Lord, your love is the branch of hope I cling to. I believe and trust in your wisdom and power. In the rising tide, in the restless wind, in the gathering storm, in the flood and rain, You are my peace.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Walking by faith
To walk by faith is to fear God more than man; to obey the Bible even when it conflicts with man’s commands; to choose righteousness over sin, no matter what the cost; to trust God in every circumstance; and to believe God rewards those who seek Him, regardless of who says otherwise
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Spending time with God
Children of God need times of complete solitude. In the midst of a busy life of work, business and play, we need to find some quiet time to reflect and pray. Our lives need to be balanced with physical and spiritual things. Quiet time in prayer and spiritual reflection will enhance our lives and draw us closer to God. Jesus was never too busy to withdraw himself to reflect and pray.
15 Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. 16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
The creator of the universe has higher intelligence, discernment, good judgement and understanding than his creation. God has chosen simple and insignificant things to save man from his sins. He used a simple woman to give birth to a simple savior, in a simple town, who lived a simple life, he selected twelve simple men to represent him in the world, gave them a simple message called the gospel, believed by simple people who will humble themselves, that no one will take credit for his salvation. Yes, the wisdom of God is amazing!
1 Corinthians 1:21,26-27, 29
21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 29 so that no one may boast before him.
