Following the example of Jesus

Jesus taught and did many things when he lived on the earth. Peter said, "Jesus left us an example to follow his footsteps." True Christianity is not based on words but on deeds. When Jesus saw the plight of the sick, downtrodden, poor and suffering people, he was moved with compassion. When we see the same today, are we following the example of Jesus?

Matthew 14:14-16
14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. 15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” 16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
