The power of encouragement

We cannot escape disappointment, discouragement and problems in this life. They are the realities of life we have to live with. When we face these things, we are comforted by scripture, that God is with us to comfort and help us with our struggles. He comforts us, that we may use the experience to help others in their problems. Let us not look at problems as the evils in our lives, but look at them as temporary unpleasant situations. These situations are brought in our lives to make us better and gain experience to help and encourage others. 

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
